Hey, a review of our CD! Issue #32 of REVIEWER Magazine, on the web here says some nice things about us, like "The Experiments are the ultimate DIY, underground indie band" and "Their music is a sludgy, raw punk-rock that is more influenced by old-school punk-rock from Detroit, like MC5 or the Stooges than by hardcore bands like MDC or GBH."
heck it out!

Hey - our latest CD, The Experiments is now available at CD Baby. It will soon be on iTunes and eMusic and the rest. Of course, you can buy it direct from us in the store and get some free stickers with it. If you don't need a physical CD, say you're one of those virtual type people, just go over to the Music page and download the whole thing for free! We've even got a version for your PSP (also free!).
Last night we got some more work done on the new CD. Andy finished off his vocals for the 5 songs we are currently recording. We should be working on it some more tomorrow, with Brian finishing off his vocals. Then we can mix these 5, and we'll have 8 songs done. The plan is to do 3 more songs, and then put out a CD, hopefully by summer time.
Have a great weekend!

Wow, what a party, I'm just now recovering. That keg of Guinness was gone so fast! Awesome set by 12Cent. Thanks Matt from Gizzards for working the video camera while we were playing. The video came out great, I already made a DVD. Thanks to all you drunks who came out in the rain!
I posted a new Top 10 List for downloads this past week. It's good to see Fuck Wal*Mart on there. I love that song. Check it out.

Yeah, so there's like this party, on that day you wear green, and it's us and this band from Boston, and they might be Irish, and there will be beer, and girls, and green stuff, 'cause it's like, the green day or something.
You can wear a hat, if you want to, but you don't hafta, if you don't wanna, or if you wanna, like, show off your mohawk, that's cool. If it's green.

Happy new year! Great weekend, with really good shows this past Friday at The Rhythm Lounge and Saturday at Brian's party. At Brian's, I was sick, and Dan was drunk, and it was still a really good show. Beer, fireworks, champagne, rock & roll, and (in my case), puke. Gotta love it.
Hey, we got played on another podcast. Go check out New Music Lab # 25. It's all live music by some great bands.
Don't forget - Wednesday Jan 11, at Winston's in Ocean Beach. 8:30pm. I love to play clubs 2 blocks from my house.

Happy Holidays! Just a quick reminder about our show at The Rhythm Lounge, Friday Dec. 30. We're up first at 10pm, followed by the Gizzards, then Angry Young Men (from L.A.), and last is Shea's Rebellion.
Then, on New Years Eve, is a party at Brian's in P.B. You know where Brian lives - he's across the street from Dan's. If you can find it, you're invited. We'll play from 8 to 10pm, there will be kegs, girls, punks, debauchery, you know, the usual.

Man, was that a great party at Phil & Lisa's or what? The cops came, but they were cool and left us alone. Jello shots, X-Mas parade, and Rock & Roll!
I added some more lyrics over on the music page. I put up "Endless Busride" and "Impending Doom", 2 old songs we've just started playing again, as well as a few others. Now, If I can get Dan to write out the words to the few remaining songs, we'll be set.
Also, we added a show in Febraury at O'Connells. I know that's a long way off, but you gotta think ahead, ya know. Check the Calendar page for details.

We had a very productive weekend. We mixed the 3 songs we've been working on (see Sept. 6th), and I'm really happy with the way they sound.
We raised a nice sum for Hurricane Relief at The Rhythm Lounge. Thanks all that came out.
We are playing a party at Brian's house this Sat, Oct. 8th. If you know where he lives, you are invited. We're playing from 8-10pm, but the party will go all night.
Don't forget about Fannies on Sat. October 22!

You may have noticed the "lyrics" links on the music page. I'll try to get the remaining songs' lyrics entered soon. Also, I plan to get the "download - listen - lyrics" system on everything else (now it's just on the current CD). Go check it out!
Don't forget about this Saturday's show at The Rhythm Lounge! Gizzards will be joining us, and all proceeds will go to Hurricane Katrina relief. Hit up the calendar page for details.

Got some news to report:
We have decided to donate all of the proceeds from our next show, Sat. September 24th at The Rhythm Lounge, to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina Relief. The Gizzards are also donating their proceeds from that same show. These people are in trouble, and we feel like we need to help out.
We have the recording and rough mixes done for 3 songs: This Side Of My Brain, Circuits Overloaded, and Hypocrite. Man, even the rough mixes sound great. We are really starting to get comfortable in our home studio, and we finally have enough good gear to make quality recordings. Hopefully we'll have something up for you to listen to soon.

CBGB's saved!
A little side note on this whole CBGB's thing: Steven Van Zandt, you're old. Button your shirt fer crissakes. No one wants to see that.
The Rhythm Lounge this Saturday - don't forget.

August 7th, 2005

You may have heard that CBGB is having some troubles. There are a series of concerts being held there and elsewhere in New York this month to try to save the club. I hope they succeed. We had a great time when we played there back in '98. The place is legendary, and it would be a shame for it to dissapear.
Saturday, August 13, we are playing at The Rhythm Lounge. We hope to see you there!

We'll be recording all this weekend at Dan's place - stop in and say hello if you're in the neighborhood.
Don't forget about Fannies next Friday, July 29th. It's a great place, great stage, friendly people and reasonable drink prices. Yes, it's in Spring Valley, so you have to drive 20 minutes (from the beaches), but, it's FREE to get in, so that covers your gas right there, even at today's prices. Opening up will be Push-25, who do Zeppelin covers. Andy tells me they are really good. Come on down, the whole thing kicks off at 9pm! Click for driving directions.

Thanks to all who came out this past Friday night to the Rhythm Lounge. It was a great show, The Gizzards and Family Butcher were great. How about that drunk door guy? Wierd.
We had a pretty productive weekend. Dan and I fixed our second ADAT (the pg needed to be calibrated. I don't know what pg is, but it's fixed now. Google rules.), and started working on re-mixing some live stuff for our upcoming CD. Stickers arrived this past Thursday, and we hope the T-shirts show up this week. Everything is looking good for a merchandising blitz for May 21st's Blind Melon's show.
Maybe we'll see you at the P.B. block party. Maybe we'll even remember it.

Hello, and happy tuesday. Well, you probably noticed we added some ads over there on the right side. You see, we are poor. Running a band takes money. We don't have any money. I know, I know, worlds smallest violin and all that. Hopefully, some of you will support our sponsors and we might make some money. All proceeds go right back into the band, we promise. Also, please note the "Give Us Your Money" button on the bottom left there. It does just what it says. We won't blow it on coke and whores, really. We'll use it to make T-shirts and CDs. If any is left over, then the coke and whores.

Hey - we added a show for next Saturday, April 23rd. It's at Fannies in Spring Valley. with Silver Side. I don't know about playing that far away from the ocean (which is the source of our Rock & Roll powers). We'll have to see how it goes. Maybe we can bring some sand and sea water in a bucket and see if that helps. Hit the Calendar Page for details.

We also added a show at The Rhythm Lounge on Friday May 6. I know that's a long way away, but you gotta plan a head a bit, you know.
After many requests, I got some photos up. See The new link at the top, Pics? Well, it is what it says.
Thanks, and we hope to see you tonight (sunday) at Blind Melons, 9pm

Allright, fuckers. (you know I'm a bit drunk when I start a post with "allright fuckers"). I just implemented a counter for all the music downloads on this site. "So what?", I hear you say. Well, that means in 1 week we will have a top 10 list for the week. So download your favorites, and we will have a weekly top 10. You see, this is what happens on a Saturday night when Brian goes out of town, Dan has to work in the morning, and Andy doesn't call me back. I sit at home, drink beer, and work on the website. Hmm, maybe that was thier plan all along...

Hey. So, our drummer, Brian, used to be in a band called The Suburban Rejects with his brother, Pete. Pete is now in a band called 12 Cent. Pete and 12 Cent's bass player, Dan, are coming into town in March, and will join up with Brian to form a 1 day only band called 12 Cent Rejects.
Are you following me so far? Good.
These guys will play with us at the Rhythm Lounge on Friday March 4. See the Calendar Page for details.
Furthermore, we added Silver Side to the Feb 26th Blind Melons show. Again, more info on the Calendar Page
FurtherFurthermore... on a totally unrelated note, my buddy Matt finally got a web site up for his band Sweet Tooth. Go check them out.

Hello, happy rainy weekend. Well, I'm stuck inside since it's a giant downpour outside (for those of you back east, San Diego's "giant downpour" means a light drizzle to you) so I've been updating the website. I just added the Miscellaneous Crap section, which at this time only contains February's Lab Report. Soon it will also contain pics and other crap that doesn't fit in the other sections. Enjoy.

We added The Germans to this Thursday's Blind Melons show, and confirmed Andrew & Russ's Party for Sat. March 12.
Everyone remembers (or maybe not) the great time we had last time. This time should be even better. Ask a band member for details.
